Chinese New Year

We spent the weekend in southern California visiting family and friends. Saturday we went to the Chinese New Year parade in Los Angeles. Alex thought all the firecrackers were people clapping and joined right in, applauding each time he heard firecrackers. We went from the parade to a dumpling restaurant - the perfect way to celebrate Chinese New Year! Sunday found us south of Los Angeles, visiting with Alex's best friend from Taiwan. It was great to see David and his family again.

Finally bit the bullet

A year ago I thought I'd climb aboard the blog-o-sphere and start myself a web log. It seemed a fitting way to share the second round of parenting DH and I had just begun. But somehow I found one reason or another not to do it. One year and one new baby later, here I am. Finally. Saturday found me uploading a video to YouTube (of said new baby looking absolutely adorable) and trying to make sure I included all the right email addresses in the "come see the cute baby video" message that was subsequently sent out to friends and family. That got me to thinking....blogging would be easier! So here we are, where those who might want to follow our journey can find us....and those who might not want relentless email about my adorable new baby can choose to pass without having to hit the delete button.

So, for those that might be interested, here's the adorable baby.

We had temperatures in the high 70's on Saturday and finally got to take the water table outdoors and fill it up with water! What fun we had getting completely soaked.
